User cases

1. How to contact us

Foreningen Kollegienet Odense only handles written enquiries received by email or letter. Verbal enquiries are handled once they have been followed up in writing. Requests concerning FKO's logs can only be handled in connection with a specific case. An enquiry can only be handled if there is evidence of possible misuse of FKO's network.

1.1 Evidence

For FKO to handle an enquiry, written evidence is required in the form of log excerpts or other documentation. Destination IP address, source IP address, destination port and time are needed for FKO to handle a case. In some cases the source port may also be needed.

2. Handling

When there is a written enquiry and the necessary documentation, the enquiry becomes a case. Cases are first handled by the server group, with the aim of identifying the individual user who has broken the law. If an individual user can be identified from the written documentation, that user is immediately excluded from FKO's network.

2.1 Response time

Foreningen Kollegienet Odense undertakes to respond to every enquiry within one working day.

3. Sanctions

Sanctions are decided by the board. Repeated violations of FKO's user rules, however, lead to permanent exclusion from FKO's network.

4. Disclosure of data

FKO does not disclose any data, whether log files or user information, without a court order. There are no exceptions to this.
